Family Nights

Family Nights are intergenerational evenings. We begin with a potluck supper at 5:30pm, followed by discussion/presentation/crafts/projects on a particular topic.

Tuesday, November 29, 5:30-7:30pm – Advent and the Jesse Tree, the family tree and heroes of the Old Testament. We are limited to  30 craft kits.  RSVP to sscott@dsj.org. See flyer here. Advent Family Night 2016. See the Jesse Tree script here.

Children are invited to present one of their ornaments at Mass on Sunday, December 4 at 9am.

Friday, March 3 – Family Stations of the Cross – Our middle grade children of the parish (ages 10 and up) lead the parish in the Stations of the Cross. After a potluck supper, (no meat during Fridays in Lent) each child tells one of the stations from the point of view of a bible character from the Passion narratives. Students will sign up in advance and practice during their 7pm class times.
