Summer is the time for our annual school supplies drive. In addition to helping our parish families in need, we will also be helping the THP Plus Program with Emergency Housing Consortium (EHC) Lifebuilders. EHC is a THP provider (Transitional Housing Placement) for transition age youth coming out of foster care. There are approximately 20 youth in the program. Because these youth are college aged, they are in need of backpacks and USB sticks/ flash drives (to store their schoolwork on). (Most of them do not have computers, so USB sticks would be very helpful to them.).
Other needed items include backpacks, binders, paper, folders, dividers, pens, pencils, markers, hi-lighters, crayons, erasers, etc.
Please try and have these needed items to the parish by August 14, 2011, in time for the start of the school year. Your donations can be dropped off at the parish office or brought to the parish hall after Mass. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated!
